Every figure currently on the site is a Census figure — sourced directly from the Census of India 2011 Primary Census Abstract. Census360 does not publish estimates or projections for any year after 2011; there is no modelled figure anywhere on the site today.

Because India has not conducted a census since 2011, and district boundaries have changed in some states since then, every figure here describes conditions as they were counted at that census — not the present day. See the Methodology for the full scope and caveats, including how boundary changes are handled.

Census360is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Government of India, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India, or any government body. “Census” is used descriptively, referring to the underlying dataset, not to imply governmental origin.
