North Tripura

With 6,93,947 people at the 2011 Census, North Tripura was the 503rd most populous of India's 640 districts and the 3rd most populous of Tripura's 4. That is 18.9% of everyone living in Tripura at the time.

Literacy stood at 87.50%, 14.5 points above the national 72.98% — level with the Tripura average. That ranked it 43rd of 640 districts nationally. The gap between male and female literacy was 7.4 points, 8.9 points below the national gap of 16.3.
